Announcements!
- Our first CM For Teens Co-op Class will be Thurs, Sept 8, 2011, 2:00-5:00 pm.
- Check the Calendar Page for details as to our tentative meeting dates for the year.
- Teens: Begin reading our first Book Talk selection, The Railway Children, by mid-August. Details and free e-text on the Book Talk Page. This will be discussed during "Book Talk!" at the Sept 15 meeting.
- Please bring Board Games or Wi to our first month's meetings to help keep us out of the heat for Recreation Time!
- I will be placing orders with Kinko's the week of Aug 26 for pictures for our first month's Artist Study. I will assume each family needs one set (at cost of approximately $4-5 per family - I'll have a firm cost after I place the order). If you do not need a set (ie, you have the photos already or want to print them yourself), please let me know. See details on our Artist Study Page. Our Artist for September is Giotto. **Update: I will add some 4x6 prints to our artist study for making a memory notebook, which is in addition to the 8x10's for picture study. This will add probably $2 to the cost of each month's prints, if we have them done at Kinko's. Ie, a total of $6-7/month/pkg for prints for the Artist Study.

- We have a potential (completely optional) first field trip idea for Sat, Sept 17. FREE Caving Day. Please see the Field Trip Page for more info!
- Sea World Homeschool Day is coming up on Thurs, Sept 22, at Sea World San Antonio, from 9:30 am-1:30 pm. (Cost $8/person.) If you want to attend, please let me know and I can purchase tickets in advance. See details on our Field Trip Page. (This will replace our Co-op time on that day, if we get enough interest in going.)
